This book “The Miserable Mill” is the fourth book in the Series of Unfortunate events series and it truly is a remarkable series. I would recommend this book to anyone above 10 years of age as the plot would make sense to kids that age as…

If you're looking for a good laugh, then "A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Miserable Mill" by Lemony Snicket is definitely not the book for you. But if you enjoy watching the Baudelaire siblings suffer through increasingly awful…

A Series of Unfortunate Events Book 4
Dec 02, 2021
The first five books of the unfortunate events follow the same formula with little differences in between, but they each provide enough differences to make each story justifiable. The fourth entry -the Miserable Mill- is an extension of…

This is still a good book, but like some of the other comments said this book is getting kind of repetitive. Count Olaf in a new discuss tries to get the Children’s fortune but doesn’t manage to and then runs away at the end without Mr Poe…

The fourth installment in this sad, unfortunate story is even more miserable than the first three, as told by the title of this book. The Lucky Smells Lumber Mill truly is a miserable place, and the orphans don’t just live there, but they…

I like this book, but it is probably my least favorite of the series. But the rest are good and for them to make sense you have to read this one! It was hard to read because I felt so bad for the characters and often had to put it down.…

This one I didn't like as the previous books. I mean, this time Count Olaf and his team wanted to saw a person in pieces?? They hypnotized a Baudelaire? A really weird guy called "Sir" whose head is never seen pays his workers in…

the next adventure in the Baudelaire orphan saga ... oh my! “To Beatrice- My love flew like a butterfly Until death swooped down like a bat As the poet Emma Montana McElroy said: 'That's the end of that”

A fast read. Not quite up to the standards set by the previous books, but perhaps it's simply that the newness has worn off.

Enjoyable and entertaining read. Hopefully Lemony Snicket can take a huge turn on the plot on the next book so it doesn't just keep repeating. But still a good read.

The Baudelaire orphans once again narrowly escape the clutches of the nefarious Count Olaf. These are great books for children with a surprisingly large and difficult vocabulary.

The first five books are somewhat repetitive, but once you get to the Ersatz Elevator the stories break the pattern somewhat. I enjoyed this series and all the mysteries and melodrama and alliteration.
