Awesome book! This book is perfectly written for its audience of 3-4 year olds (even attentive 2's). It makes use of primary colors, size comparisons, and first numbers while telling a simple story each [color] being different, wanting…

I met the author at a conference and because no one was at her table I was able to have a lengthy conversation with her and she gave me a free autographed copy of her book. It is a appropriately illustrated book about bullying that uses…
This is a gentle story about bullying and standing up to bullies that also includes colors and counting.

Perfect book. I did make sure to highlight the bullying aspect so it wasn't just read without discussion otherwise for young kids it might make bullying appear ok on the surface.
Story is clever though, and you hardly know you are…

This simple, yet clever and highly interactive book teaches young kids numbers and colors, but also that, in the end no matter what bullies say, we all count! This book is a big hit with my preschool storytimers.

A picture book that is winning a lot of awards - for good reason. Excellent book to share for all ages.

This picture book works for many age groups, ideally 5-10. The colorful shapes and lines work well with younger readers, while older readers can grasp the underlying concepts of acceptance. A great addition to any anti-bullying…

Incredibly sweet. It's relatively subtle in it's message, considering the targeted age group. Message books tend to be preachy and obnoxious. This is neither. It's also beautiful in its art, adding to its strength and an excellent Pre-K…

I've read this before...or was there when it was read out loud to children. I think this book featured strongly in the "Everybody Counts" thing they did at the elementary school I worked at. It's an effective enough anti-bullying book, but…

This is one of the very best picture books about bullying, and it is appropriate for preschoolers to seniors! The story is incredibly simple, meaningful, and unforgettable.

My 3 year understood the message of the book! Plus he loved to point out the colors and numbers and how Red got bigger and smaller. This is one of the best books I have read! I will be buying this for my collection!

It is amazing how emotions are portrayed by the splotches. This book is filled with so much more though, as it simultaneously teaches about colours, numbers and the serious matter of bullying.

My kids loved this book with the counting and the underlying message about standing up to bullies. A simple read but provokes great discussions with kids.

I love this book for children. For younger children it teaches colors and numbers and for older children it has a great message about bullying. "It just takes one!"

A deceptively simply book with an extremely powerful message about the "power of one." On the surface, it can be used to teach counting and colours but it is also perfect for discussing the subject of bullying.
