Awful, unfunny film with a main character you really don't want to spend any time with.

Ok movie about a Mother and Daughter relationship during teen years.

Actors say what is written for them. Director/writer, Greta Gerwig received her college degree from Barnard College. In one scene, Ladybird, who is invited by her boyfriend to spend Thanksgiving dinner at his grandmother's house, is given…

The acting in this film is outstanding, but I can't say I enjoyed watching it. The mother-daughter relationship is portrayed exceptionally realistically, but watching them vacillate between harsh tones, passive-aggressive snide comments,…

This movie is hot garbage. It represents everything wrong with teen movies. You clearly are supposed to like our protagonist, Christine ("Lady Bird") and her friends, but they aren't likeable at all. The only people I liked in the movie…

I watched this film with my husband and despite the lack of explosions and excessive computer-generated graphics (the kind of films he likes), he liked it as much as I did!

This is my favourite movie ever. I’ve seen it at least 10 times, it is so realistic to life and so funny and relatable. Amazing cast and amazing movie.

Don't bother watching this film. It is trite and full of cliches. I was very disappointed in it! I can't imagine actually paying to go and see it in a cinema! The OPL has 23 copies of this film - what a waste of taxpayers' money.

We really liked this film. Slice of coming of age life. We liked that the story took place in Sacramento. Loved that a talented woman wrote and directed it. Liked the actors. The take away message is to appreciate what we have, in this…

Lorie Metcalf is terrific in this. She's an underrated actress. The cover of the DVD is very misleading until you see the movie and then you get it. I like movies with strong women characters and this flick has that. It will bring back…

I loved this movie. It captures that moment of life when you want to get out of your boring hometown, away from your overly critical parents, and start having the life of your choice. Lady Bird chooses a name, decides she's going to New…

Even though I'm a Male this film really took me back to my days in high school where I feeling that I didn't really fit in anywhere, I was searching for myself, searching where I fit, having a hard time with relationships, not really…

VERY GOOD 2018 coming of age (high school) movie set in 2002. I was a bit surprised that I would get engaged in it due to my, um, older age, but I did. I particularly enjoyed new for me Laurie Metcalf's performance as the mom and will be…

Despite the poor ratings, I gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised. It's a good depiction of the difficult pull and push that often develops in a mother/daughter relationship. It's perhaps best appreciated by women who have lived…

On paper, it seems to have potential: a young girl's coming of age, search for love and feelings from family, friends and lovers. What we get is aimless, pointless, disjointed storytelling with dramatically null characters. The only one…

As uneventful a movie as you'll ever find. No, I don't need to see buildings blowing up, guns going off and pools of blood on the sidewalk, but I do need to see a story with a beginning, middle and end, which Gerwig is unwilling to give…

This movie is not for everyone. If you remember being a senior in high school, anxious to find your place in the world and to get away from home, and struggled with relationships (esp. with a parent), this will bring back a lot of…

I just thought this movie was ok. Nice shots of Sacramento, and Laurie Metcalf was great as the mom. Some funny parts to it, but this isn't Juno. I just don't understand the hype and praise this movie received. I guess I have to watch it…

One of the better movies I've seen over the last few years but if your idea of a good movie is the typical Hollywood blockbuster, skip this movie, it isn't.
