Volume 1 and 2, I thought, were very well put together, with an interesting story (however implausible some of it was), with good characters and martial arts.
I had read that Quentin Tarintino paid respects to Bruce Lee, by using the idea of the yellow one piece jump suit, that BL had worn in the unfinished 1973 film, Game of Death.

Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2 are still my favorite movies from Quentin Tarantino. A simple and passionate tribute to Tarantino's love of Japanese Chanbara, Wuxia/Kung-Fu, and Spaghetti Western. Kill Bill's main inspiration came from the 1973 Japanese Thriller, Lady Snowblood--the main story that Tarantino borrowed from and reinvented to introduce to Audiences who are not familiar with the genre. This movie is not really recommended for audiences under the age of eighteen due to coarse language, mature themes, and brutal, bloody violence.

A former assassin awakes four years after her attempted murder when her former lover attempted to kill her on her wedding day. As a way to get revenge, she swears that she will leave no mercy for anyone who had a role in the killing of her unborn child. She creates a hit list of everyone who has done her wrong and goes on her way to begin her killing. This film is action-packed, gory, and ruthless. The themes of revenge and passion fuel this film and make up for disappointing scenes. I would rate this film 4/5 stars and recommend it to those who love action, fighting, and blood. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

Rated 4/10. This movie has quite a shallow plot, and the acting is subpar. The action (which is why I gave it a 4) is okay, but way over-the-top and implausible.

I'm sure Volume 2 will be more of the same. I'm not impressed with Tarantino's work.

The part where B****** calls for O-Ren Ishii and starts fighting The Crazy 88 is 75 minutes into the movie. One of the best action scenes ever made.

This is a 2003 American martial-arts action-drama directed by Quentin Tarantino.
It is the first part of the two-part film.
The second part was released in 2004.
If you have a serious mind, this literally bloody nonsensical action-drama will waste your time.
If you have a sense of black humor, want some violence, need bloody scenes and love fantasy, this flick will satisfy you to the hilt.
I now know that Tarantino has a gory sadistical world of his own.
It is a pity that Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu speak a smattering of Japanese at the very critical moment of the dual.
I couldn't help but laugh my head off.

Kill Bill 1 & 2 are really one movie, they don't work separately!

The Bride: It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'. When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I'll be waiting.
