Bella Legrossi and Boris Kleanitoff, the messiest and cleanest monsters in Booville respectively, do nothing but argue until the night of Harry Beastie's Halloween party. Annotation. Bella Legrossi is the messiest monster in all of Booville. Her slime is the slimiest and her grime is the grimiest. Alas, she is neighbors with Boris Kleanitoff, a persnickety ghoul so tidy he vacuums his vampire bats. What could ever bring these two together? It will take a Halloween party like no other--a full creature-feature of beasts, ghosts, and creepy-crawlies, and some of the fanciest dance moves since Morrie Mummy shook a leg clean off. So grab a mug of ghoul drool and join the fun! Wicked wit Carolyn Crimi and illustrator Gris Grimly have put their heads together (along with a few they found in the graveyard) and cooked up the funniest, funkiest, and out-and-out freakiest monster mash you've ever seen!

A great, grisly Halloween tale of two ghouls discovering that opposites can attract, even in the most macabre ways possible.

I adore this book. It is a lovely story, which closely parallels my own personal love story with my husband. Adults will enjoy this as much as children do.

Boris is very clean, very very clean. Nothing is ever out of place and he can't help holding his nose in the air at his neighbor, Bella. Bella is very dirty. She stinks, she’s gross, and she can't stand Boris who is so very neat. They do not get along at all. But when a rockin' party unites them they each learn to be a little neater and a little messier. I love the gothic illustrations of the characters. Staff picks 2007
