I really like a lot of Donna Summer's songs.

Get down! And "Boogie"!
There can be no denying that at the very birth of Disco in the mid-1970s singer Donna Summer (born 1948) was, without question, the undisputed "Queen" of the dance-floor set.
Donna Summer had a very strong and distinctive vocal-style. Early in her career as a pop-music songstress, Donna Summer teamed up with wizard record-producer, Giorgio Moroder, and together this disco "dynamic-duo" originated a hard-driving and unique sound that was often imitated by other performers, but seldom matched.
This CD contains eleven of Summer's most memorable and danced-to tunes (dating from between 1975-1983), such as - Last Dance, Bad Girls, Love Is In Control, and, of course, MacArthur Park, to name but a few. (Watch video)
*Note* - Donna Summer (who did not smoke cigarettes) died of lung cancer in 2012. She was 63.
