When global warming triggers the onset of a new Ice Age, tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, a tidal wave engulfs New York City and the entire Northern Hemisphere begns to freeze solid. Now, climatologist Jack Hall, his son Sam, and a small band of survivors must ride out the growing superstorm and stay alive in the face of an enemy more powerful and relentless than anything anyone has ever encountered: Mother Nature.

this may be contributing to idea that climate change isnt real....its a pretty hokey movie.
Unfortunately what is depicted could really happen...

Yeah...the premise was intriguing enough to be believable. The characters responses to each other, rather less so. Jake Ghyllenhall holds up okay, and Dennis Quaid is pretty passable, but they're frequently asked to do fairly dumb things, or not do the smart ones (why burn books when you have a library's worth of CHAIRS?!). I'm just sayin'.

Super suspensful film about a climate disaster, directed by Roland Emmerich of Independence Day fame.

Interesting fact: filmed in parts of Canada.

The problem with this movie (aside from the story, direction and acting) is that is never tells you what the day after tomorrow is. Tuesday? Sunday? It doesn't tell you!

What a great movie. Watch it closely! There's an underlying story!
