Being a family of superheros is hard, especially when you're trying hide it. A great film for families, lots of great comedy stuff for adults as well as kids.

I only thought this movie was ok.

Brilliant parody on superheroes. Almost a ripoff on Fantastic four by replacing blue with red.
Loved the bonus sections on handler comments on past superheroes & superheroes themselves like Helen on where to find a good clothing designers on a long lasting costume.
Ditto Pixel employees had devil on time on computer special effects.
Real curious who voiced past cliched superheroes. I suspect the Pixel employees themselves.

This movie is about a family of five people who have been gifted with superpowers. How fun would it be to have an entire nuclear family with superpowers? But we all know the quote, “with great power comes great responsibility”. Perhaps it’s not as easy to live with superpowers as one might initially think. In any case, Mr. Incredible and his wife, Elastigirl, are now simply Bob and Helen as superpowers have been banned by the government. However, Bob is not content with life as it is. He seeks the superhero life once again, and is manipulated and is caught up in trouble. Will the family reveal themselves to save Mr. Incredible?

Growing up, one of my favorite movies was "The Incredibles". The movie "The Incredibles" combines everything that a child loves. It combines action, fantasy, fun, and entertainment all in one movie. In addition, the movie is very family friendly. The jokes and story line have something for both kids and adults, and almost transfers adults back to a time when they were kids themselves. The movie is extremely fun because it allows kids to imagine their own lives as if they were secretly super heroes too; I can't recommend this movie more. Kids will want to rewatch it again and again until it becomes one of their childhood favorites as well.

Wonderful family film! Plenty of jokes for the adults, especially parents and long term partners. Includes enough action to prevent the kids asking you what you're laughing.

You all Chicagoans probably don't know this but The Incredibles will soon be making a BIG comeback when The INCREDIBLES 2 hits theaters everywhere on June 21 2019!! I was So excited when I heard this news, but a little disappointed when I realized that it is a FIVE YEAR WAIT. Oh well. We can wait a little can't we? Oh, and this news is FACT. Not fiction. Google it. And if you can, follow my account or reply if you read this.

Brad Bird’s Oscar-winning animated feature has the look and feel of a Saturday morning cartoon whose candy-coloured backdrops and slapstick mayhem have been given new computerized life while keeping all those killer robots and retro rocket ships intact. The first Pixar production to actually receive a “PG” rating, presumably for violence and adult content (people die in messy ways albeit offscreen), there is a pessimistic vein just beneath the vibrant pyrotechnics and witty repartee which speaks to the new millennium’s preoccupation with tarnished heroes and the sense of skepticism which has replaced them. Not only have a generation of caped crusaders been forced into obscure desk jobs, but their special powers are proving to be of little use against corporate bosses and middle-aged spread. Not to worry however for in this world justice still triumphs, evildoers still meet their doom, and a promised sequel insures that we haven’t heard the last from Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. Samuel L. Jackson provides the voice of “Frozone”, a speed skating brother equipped with icicle rays, and Bird himself breathes life into Edna “E” Mode, the fabulously eccentric pint-sized designer of superhero tights whose manic speech and Beatles haircut proves to be one of the film’s many pleasures.

To be truthful, I just couldn't stand The Incredibles as the Parrs, a regular family unit. Like, talk about being totally dysfunctional to the max. You'd honestly think that a whole family of "supers" would, at least, have it together to some degree when it came to happiness and harmony._____ It was especially Helen Parr who grated on my nerves, big-time. She seemed to be forever coming down on everyone for even the slightest, most petty thing imaginable. And this was even while she was Elasti-Girl. She just never seemed to let up on her bull._____ On the other hand, I thought that Edna Mode (aka. "E"), the supers' exclusive costume designer, was absolutely hilarious. Her voice was provided by director Brad Bird, himself._____ All-in-all - I'd say that The Incredibles (sans Helen Parr) was a very sharp-witted comedy that quickly morphed into a really satisfying comic-book-style action film. This animated movie, for the young and old, was definitely well-worth a view.

Edna Mode (aka."E") quote - "Supermodels!? Ha! There's nothing "super" about them.... They're just spoiled, stupid, little stick figures with poofy lips who think only of themselves!"

"Supers"–humans gifted with superpowers–were once seen as heroes, but collateral damage from their various good deeds led the government to create a "Supers Relocation Program", forcing the Supers to fit in among the civilians and not use their superpowers. Bob and Helen Parr, who are Supers, have married and raised three children, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack, in the suburbs of Metroville; Violet and Dash have innate superpowers, but the toddler Jack-Jack has yet to show any. Bob, stuck in a white-collar job at an insurance agency, reminisces of his former days as Mr. Incredible, and sneaks out on Wednesday nights with his Super friend, Lucius Best (a.k.a. Frozone), to fight street crime.
