Peter Frampton was a true genius who rescued Rock and Roll from Easy Rock --- before "Big Hair" heavy metal bands re-destroyed it. He burned very brightly and very briefly. I've given this album only three stars. The recording and the miking are horrible, and the tempo and pace of the band is amateurish. I recommend Greatest Hits 1996, available at SCCL, as a superior recording of this man and his musical genius. I give it five stars, it's that extraordinary.
before Frampton there was z-z-z-z. Suddenly, there was Frampton Comes Alive!and he was everywhere?!!!! he and his crowd were so attuned to each other. they fed off him, he fed off them. and it all makes it to the vinyl. and since cd accentuates the highs and the lows, the crowd's sound is undiminished through that medium. Frampton has a great talent for building tension to relieve it with his guitar. again and again he does just that on this lp. have a listen. turn it up. turn off your mind, relax, and float on downstream. just say no to drugs. have a natural high.
SHOW ME THE WAY!! One of the greatest songs EVER!
