I enjoyed this story a lot as a child. It, in a way, came alive to me through the actions of Jack and Annie. The story is set in the Arctic, notorious for its freezing weather and interesting animals. What happens when you have seals, polar bears, and two children wrapped in Eskimo furs? A guaranteed mixture of fun for children, or all ages! This is an amazing book in a series targeted to beginning readers, or those who like reading out loud with older parents or guardians.

The Magic Tree House transportss Jack and Annie to the freezing Arctic.
There, they must solve the final riddle to become master librarians. But it's
not going to be easy--especially when they have cracking ice, a seal hunter,
and a prodigious polar bear to deal with. Will they be able to solve the riddle
before they get iced themselves?

Jack and Annie go to the Magic Tree House for an adventure. The Magic Tree House lets them travel to different places and different times. This time they find themselves in the Arctic. A seal hunter shows up with a sled and some warm clothes for them. Jack had a scrol with a riddle on it. It said I cover what's real and hide what's true. But sometimes I bring out the courage in you. What am I? He also had a book that told them about the Arctic that helped them know what to do.
