This is a book written by two authors: David Perlmutter and Alberto Villoldo. David Perlmutter is a board-certified neurologist and fellow of the American College of Nutrition: www.DrPerlmutter.com. Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D. is a psychologist and medical anthropologist. His websites: www.thefourwinds.com and www.PowerUpYourBrain.com go over much of his information in the book. It's a slightly strange combination of material, science and the neuroscience of enlightenment, but interesting none the less.

As I was reading I was reminded of Dr. Joe Dispenza's books (I've read his first two books but not the latest one) and he is quoted in a couple of sections of this particular book. Overall, I enjoyed Dr. Joe's books much more and I believe his books were instrumental in curing myself of 20 years of chronic migraines...

I really believe our own beliefs effect us and our environment so with that said, I didn't buy into the part of the book with the diet regimen to "power up" our brains. But again, that's just my belief...

I am, however, very interested in trying the lucid dreaming technique outlined in the book.

Although this book is a decent read, I gained much more out of reading Dispenza's books a few years ago so didn't learn a whole lot from this one...
