High Plains Drifter is the best of this bunch ( and one of my personal faves by Eastwood )- Two Mules for Sister Sara is pretty good, Shirley McLaine is pretty great in it- Joe Kidd is alright, it's not the best Eastwood Western.

To be honest, I have never, ever understood Clint Eastwood's mass-appeal and huge fanbase. And after watching this triple bill of Eastwood Westerns from the early 1970s, I still can't figure out what the big deal is all about._____ At best, I'd say that these Westerns were just average in their genre. As far as I could see, there was nothing, whatsoever, "special" about them._____ And, on top of that, I found Eastwood's steely-eyed "man-of-few-words" character to be less than memorable._____ In fact, I found this particular type of man to be downright dislikable and annoying at times. With his often questionable motivations and shifting loyalties, this certainly wasn't my idea of what a Western hero was all about._____ But, hey, to each his own - So, if you are an Eastwood fan, then I'm sure that you'll find these movies to your totally delighted satisfaction.
