"It turns out I'm absolutely terrible at staying away from you. It's a very serious problem."
"Love is a beautiful fear."
"You've changed me forever. And I'll never forget you."
"Darling? The word, so tender and personal, enveloped me. In that moment, any desire i had to fight my feelings for Maxon disappeared. I wanted to be his dear, his darling. I wanted to be Maxon's alone." pg 39
(America trying to teach Marlee to play hte piano)
Marlee sighed. "I give up. Sorry, America, you've been so patient, but I hate hearing myself play. It sounds like the piano is sick."
"More like it's dying actually." America laughed.
“It turns out I'm absolutely terrible at staying away from you. It's a very serious problem.”
“Love is beautiful fear”
“You've changed me forever. And I’ll never forget you.”
Other: After Marlee was caned she showed that she had no regret for breaking the law because it was in the name of love. I am a fan of this series but that part showed a flaw in Marlee's character. She used to be my favorite character. I'm not even angry about what she did I'm angry that she felt no regret.
Sexual Content: Marlee was caught in a closet with a guard and was whipped for it.
Sexual Content: Not too much, but there is a lot of kissing and seduction

Down to 6. The Elite is intense as the 6 girls battle it out. America still can't choose wether she wants Aspen or Maxon but now that this is anyone's game she has to make up her mind.
Only 6 girls are left and America is one of them and as the competition goes on she starts to realize that the people she thought were her friends are not who she thought they were and Maxon might start to like someone else except for her.
