Easy memes collide at a dinner party in unbelievable ways to pump up the drama. Opportunities for allegedly sophisticated usually-restrained (for careerist reasons if not trained politesse) New Yorkers to attack each other for being Jewish, black, Muslim, Asian, climbers, betrayers, lawyers and pretentious foodies abound. Totally squirm-making to read, but maybe on stage the speed at which it is performed will make it 'dramatic' rather than just cheesily smarmy. Made me feel unclean, even if I didn't believe any of it for a minute and could go take a shower.
