Didn't finish it because I was so upset with this man's voice over telling me that he knew he was being a (put in your term for a very, very unpleasant person here) but continued to give some vague reason for doing so. The movie wasn't anything that I expected. I expected something uplifting, "hey I almost died and even though I am in great pain, I am so fricking happy to be alive that I will will work with my doctors, be as upbeat as possible with my family and give glory to whatever (slide your term for your higher power in here) gave me this second chance." I just got tired of waiting for the change in his attitude, but this movie did something no other movie has been able to do... it made me give up. Maybe when 90 Minutes in Heaven Part II comes around, I'll try again. (Didn't see where to give it stars, but I don't think I could give it star, unless it was for the sleaziness of the attorney - "I'm your beau").

I thought it's interesting judging with it's title. The story was dragging + the narration makes it really boring. I didn't finish the movie.

Besides the Protestant content, it was a great movie. Worth a watch.

It was hard to watch this movie and not think the character would have been better off dying in the horrific crash that starts off this story. Nevertheless, it's astonishing to see him pull through after months of self-pity and agonizing pain. That's the most uplifting part of the story. As others have said, the title is a bit misleading as very little of the movie is spent on his out-of-body experience in heaven. I didn't care particularly for the portrayal of heaven. Everyone there was dressed in their Sunday best. Somehow, I envision the inhabitants of heaven far more of an eclectic bunch ... one that includes piercings and tattoos ... not just modestly dressed men in suits and ties and women in skirts and dresses primarily below-the-knee.

Many of the complaints in this opinion tree are true: this isn't the best scripted, acted or directed movie I've ever seen. The story itself, however, provides such a slam-in-the-gut feeling and of the afterlife that its promise rolls over any faults like a tsunami crushing a den of inequity. The weenie is worth the wait. Pay attention to what is said more than how it is said.

This movie is 122 minutes long and very boring. The title is not accurate at all.

Great movie to restore one's beliefs in the REAL possibility of an afterlife.

The acting was horrible. The book is 10 times better.

True story about Don Piper who told his story (car accident, dying, recovery) of what he went through and why God made him go through it. It built up slowly- but the message, guilt, and pain was there. It was ok vs. some other movies with more developed religious scripts
