Delaney Blair loves her job at Echo Lake's Mercy Hospital, where she's developed a reputation for being smart, fair, and driven. When she's assigned to cut funding, she has to temporarily relocate her office, put on borrowed scrubs, and go toe-to-toe with Dr. Joshua Mackenzie, the interim head of the pediatrics department. His killer smile and rock-star body are distractions Delaney could do without, but she's determined to stay focused while she brings his budget into line. It's not working. Beloved by his colleagues and patients alike, Josh is too busy caring for sick kids to talk numbers with the sexy, stiletto-clad Delaney. Every time they talk business, tensions run high... but so does a powerful attraction neither of them can ignore. When an emergency brings Mercy to its knees, Delaney and Josh must work together to save lives. But can they also find a way into each others hearts?

An Amazing, Amazing story of life and love !
I loved every page of this book that Maggie McGinnis put together ! Stellar !
I borrowed this from the library after a long wait for my name to come up to sign it out.
Now a huge must ... go back and read Book 1 of this wonderful series :Echo Lake.

The flow of the story was so smooth it made page turning so easy... but ... I couldn't read it fast enough.

The most perfect spot for me is on Page 351 .... yup all kind of emotional tears... happy... melding moment which settled my heart somewhat prior to pounding out of my chest .. Sigh. !!! Delaney pulled this one together.

Delaney and Joshua .... 5 star .. and all the support characters in the this book fit wonderfully.
I loved meeting Oscar .... so smooth and wonderful.

Laughter, humour, heartache, grief, hope, suspense, tragedy, happiness and love and even being cheesed off for several different reasons .... It covered all the 5 senses for me ....I literally felt a part of this story, living in this town , enjoying Echo Lake, on the hospital ward, in a restaurant :eating, enjoying a speciality drink made by a wonderful Italian restaurant owners, greeting, and wondering, on a mountain, in a car, enjoying the view of a lake at sunset, sunrise, swimming, a boat, for a walk, a jog... heartache, love and appreciation of making the best of a situation and improving upon it. This is a wonderful romance novel. and I too fell in love with children and wanting to do more for them !

This Echo Lake Novel is a wonderful love story of two people and their love, hope and doing the best they can make of situations, realizing change and learning to accept what cannot change. ....

If you have not read a Maggie McGinnis novel ... pick this one up because ... this is a must read.
