A few twists and turns.
A typically well done, British Police Drama.
Always superb, acting.

Never heard of the cast and this detective series. But it is relatively short, British, on the shelf and graphic of four young people fronted by a woman with an intense troubled look on the DVD box. While not always convincing, a decent murder mystery that involved extremely dysfunctional families, filmed extensively on location in the seaside resort Brighton.

I agree with most of the thumbs up comments. Story kept you interested and when bits of the secrets were revealed they were plausible, not like some mystery series. I would say that this series could be watched by a family with kids 12 and up. Considering the amount of foul language and graphic sexual content on television these days, I don't think that this would be over the top nor is the violence. I hope that they're working on a series 2.

Intriguing crime drama! Who's the good cop and who is bent? Kept me guessing until the end.
Very well written and well acted. There is not much of a lead-in to the story, it just jumps right in. It was interesting to puzzle it out and then the story comes together. Wonderful 6 episode story. I hope there is more. I loved it!

This kept me guessing who did it with every juicy revelation of a fact that sent me on another turn. There was no slow draining build up of the plot. The love scenes were not long and gross. The actors were great at playing there characters. I want to watch more.

The screenplay provides an abundance of clichés and 'relationship babel' lines, the young female detective is me-me-me off-putting, her gruff love-interest 'acts' by glowering at all and sundry, and the whole effort turns unconvincing. Indeed, the last five minutes, which oh so obviously sets us up for season 2, is plainly ridiculous. What is amazing is the difference made when the few adults in this series come on screen. When the camera shifts to Lindsey Coulson, who plays superbly the DI in charge of the investigation, you feel a physical sense of relief. Same thing with Amanda Burton, the scheming matriarch. Bottom line: if you are looking for another 'Line of Duty', keep looking.

I watched this because it says that Philip Glenister is in it, but he's killed off in the first 30 seconds. I kept thinking his character might reappear in flashbacks, but he didn't. I wonder why he offered to do such a tiny part. Maybe he has a history with the writers or producers.

I like cop shows and thrillers, but this one was hard to get into. I just didn't warm to any of the characters. I also found much of it implausible.

I found the plot unfeasible, and the fact the woman detective who has been shot is able to run fast and jump fences. Really! The ending is wide open for season 2 which I won't be watching. Definitely not up to Acorn very high standards.

I really enjoyed this series. It has lots of intrigue and left you wondering who did it and why, almost until the very end. Many twists and turns and complicated relationships. Not suitable for children, as there is violence and foul language.

I'm just walking into walls and you're watching me do it. I thought you were my friend.
-I am your friend.
No, you've got too many secrets to be anyone's friend. You tell me things when you think I need to know them. ou decide every time.
And you always know more than what you say.
===
Why didn't you know about me?
-Frank and I had an understanding. If something mattered, he'd tell me.

We've all got a past, Nancy, but you seem to have a lot of it, and it's starting to get in the way.

Don't push me, Nancy, cos I I might start asking questions you really don't wanna have to answer.
===
What, you didn't know? And you a detective? Makes me wonder why I pay my taxes.
===
So I choose whether to bring you down or lie for you.
-I'm not asking you to lie.
If I keep my mouth shut, that's what it is.
===
XXYYZZ you don't know what it's like to have to lie to the people that you're close to.
-I know that I have to be able to live with myself.
It's dangerous.
-Then you'd better be there, hadn't you? Catch me if I fall.
