Sidney Chambers (James Norton, Happy Valley) is a handsome, jazz-loving village vicar haunted by his past. Geordie Keating (Robson Green, Wires in the Blood, Touching Evil) is a hard-boiled police detective, overworked and weary. Together they solve crimes and right wrongs in picturesque 1950s Cambridge. Based on a novel by James Runcie, the hit British series returns with Chambers having doubts about his pious lifestyle, now that his old flame Amanda (Morven Christie) has left her husband.

Third series is a keeper. More mystery, more humor, and resolutions of several plot-lines helps make this edition feel like all the time you invested in this show was very well spent. Interplay between Geordie (Robson Green) and Sidney ( James Norton) is the best part of this show.

Grantchester has just completed its third season and what a season! If you have been a faithful follower of if you have just started watching, not an episode disappoints. Robson Green (Reckless, Wire in the Blood, Me & Mrs. Jones) is fabulous in his subtly, and James Norton, who can play a vicious criminal (Happy Valley) or a beloved and wise vicar make up the dynamic duo who solve criminal cases with humor, compassion, and logic. The stars are supported by an amazingly strong cast of quirky characters, whom you will look forward to sharing an hour or two of your time absorbing their tales of woe and cheer.

Oh, my! The ups and downs of this season are a real emotional roller coaster. By far the best season yet--but watch them in order or you'll just be lost.
