The LEGO Batman Movie

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble, LEGO Batman, stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from the Joker's hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others, and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Great kids movie, very funny, perfect cast. My favorite kids movie.

If you like LEGO superhero movies, then you're sure to enjoy this Batman film.

It contains lots of over-the-top action and plenty of goofy dialogue.

Batman's ego is supersized in this movie. He learns to pay attention to what he says to other people. Harley Quinn has completion for the Joker, as he is still shipping JOKMAN bromance. Cute movie.

Better than the Lego movie, but still really cheesy, especially the end. It was funny though. I personally thought it was going to be awful. I was kinda wrong. This movie is so bad it is good. :P

I liked this movie but, it was a little boring at parts, but otherwise it was Amazing. It was funny and interesting to watch. Also this was a bit Corny, but it was good.

While I like the Lego movies and Superheroes, the movie lagged in spots. Also, I don't like the message Batman told Robin - that at times it's okay to do something wrong/illegal in order to do something right. Other than that, good message.

Quite enjoyable. Funny nod to all the previous Batman movies in a very entertaining way. Some parts were a little slow then the end was only ok but I'm glad I watched it. The special features were pretty good too.

As a long time Batman fan, this movie bothered me on a few levels. I get that it's for kids, but I feel like only kids could appreciate this movie a lot. I did not feel this way about The Lego Movie, which remains one of my favorite movies ever.

The first 15 minutes were amazing and jaw dropping... and then it just died. A little Lego Batman goes a long way, but too much and it's excruciating to watch. The next hour was hard to get through and the finale was alright. Maybe if it were a Justice League movie with a sprinkle of Batman would have been fine, but watching that version of Batman for 1h 45m is pretty hard to get through. You look at the end credits and it's filled with so many comedians; so why isn't it much, much funnier. Didn't realize who the Joker was being played by until the end credits. Ironically, the Joker just isn't funny in this movie.

While THE LEGO MOVIE appealed to me and spoke to audiences of all ages, THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE was geared a little younger with, yes, a sprinkling of jokes for the grown-ups. For example, I appreciated some of the jabs at the expense of the original Adam West Batman series and a few nodding to the eighties/nineties flicks with which I grew up. But, for the most part, THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE goes for the heavy-handed emotional notes, trying to yank on those heartstrings every chance it got. While it didn't bother me too much and I was able to bear it better than those around me, the emotional appeals started to wear thin and became less and less effective through that overuse. Overall, though, it was a decent time waster, and, if you're not expecting too much, I think you'll get a chuckle from THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE.
