The beautiful, eternal theme of choosing kind is highlighted in Palacio's companion piece to 'Wonder'. Younger readers can meet Auggie and celebrate the uniqueness in everyone. When we are kind to one another, we can see that we are indeed all wonders, and that is truly magical.
I love a well-written story, fun/colorful/thoughtful illustrations, matched with an iconic character. It's no wonder this one has topped the charts for the bestsellers. And most importantly, it has a simple to understand yet powerful message. Highly recommend for all! Even those that haven't read the book.
every person should read this book! uplifting!!! My favorite line was: "I know I can't change the way I look. But maybe, just maybe...people can change the way they see. If they do, they'll see that I'm a wonder. And they'll see that they're wonders too!"
This is a picture book adaptation of "Wonder" by the same author, R.J. Palacio. Children will recognize themselves, and others who seem different, in the character. We are all Wonders, and that's a good thing.
