A world of imaginary people and talking objects becomes a young girl’s getaway and place of freedom when she meets an old, isolated neighbor. Age means nothing to the two. The Little Prince tells a beautiful tale of growing up but still continuing to be free and live life to the fullest. The embedded messages, the evident ones, the think-even-deeper ones, all left me curious to know more and evaluate the way maturity’s standards are set around me today. Going through The Little Prince left me speechless, and I truly still am. The Little Prince is a true work of art, and nothing less.

The storyline behind the production of “47 Meters Down” may have seemed cliché to a few of the audience members, but I can fairly say that I strongly disagree. What differs this movie from others is that instead of giving the viewers a simple, happy ending, the producers took a realistic turn to the plot and showcased a couple of the greatest possibilities in a similar situation to the one Kate and Lisa found themselves in. For instance, they decided to bring science into the equation as easily swimming up to the surface wouldn’t work as they’d need a 5-minute decompression break to avoid the bends. They also couldn’t easily switch from one oxygen tank to another as it comes with harmful side effects, a fact I was unaware of even after watching countless movies with a similar plot. I would say that “47 Meters Down” was by far, one of the best and well-thought-out movies with high-end performing actors that brought the whole film together. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed watching “47 Meters Down” and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a thrilling, yet meaningful, yet heart-wrenching movie. Rating 4.5/5

Would be better if you could actually SEE what was going on majority of the time (set underwater obviously and they didn't think to use ANY lighting for 70% of the movie). Have to say the twist at the end was pretty good.

Entertaining low budget under water accident movie.

The older sister was the most annoying character written in the past few years. Nothing original in this movie. Not worth watching again.

Fair movie, but too predictable.

The script was just dreadful. After the nth time Mandy Moore whimper or screech or hyperventilate, I started to root for the shark.

Completely lame and absolutely predictable to the last shot. I gave it a star only because the CGI sharks were a cut above SyFy channel.

This was scary enough, also predictable. "Matthew Modine has certainly aged" I thought until I took a glimpse in the mirror. This was also the most misogynistic piece of movie making I've seen in quite a while. Just saying.

I would be the first one to say that I am a sucker for creature flicks. This is especially true when it comes to sharks. "Jaws" is one of my favorite movies, and I also greatly enjoyed 2016s "The Shallows." It should not be surprising then that I also found "47 Meters Down" to be a thoroughly enjoyable watch. The characters were shallow (no pun intended), the story was nothing new, but as a whole, the movie was a better than average thriller. If you are simply looking to be entertained, or like me, love a good shark film, give this movie a chance.
