My favorite part of this book was the insight on Rose Tico. Showing her relationship with her sister Paige helped flesh out the character. Kelly Marie Tran's audio narration was even more of a bonus. I was only mildly invested in the plot, which was adventurous enough to appeal to younger readers (the intended audience). For me, it was the sister relationship that really stood out, so it's especially heartbreaking given the events of "The Last Jedi."

I've never read Wein but many have sung the praises of "Code Name Verity." I think I'll give it a read soon!

I appreciated learning a little bit more about Paige, and getting Rose's backstory, but I really expected more from Elizabeth Wein. Perhaps it's the contrast of her writing for children rather than teens.
