Whisper is an extremely interesting action novel on a girl, Subject 684 (nicknamed Jane Doe), with a special power. After being locked underground underground facility for years, never speaking a single word, she suddenly finds a chance to get her life back once again only for her secret, her powers, to be discovered. This book is filled with suspense, leaving readers to question each and every characters' motives in the story. This novel is definitely an amazing read with the author, Lynette Noni, weaving mystery, magic, and a pinch of romance into this riveting masterpiece. This book should be read by anyone who enjoys suspenseful and mystery-type novels.

Whisper by Lynette Noni tells a story about a story of the subject Jane Doe. She has been held captive for more than two and a half years. The novel is written in a first person perspective. A cool part about this book is that the author made many emphasis on the reactions of the main character in one word. The writing always kept me hooked which made me finish reading this book fast. I would give this book a four out of five. - Ria
Whisper by Lynette Noni is a novel exploring the mysterious life of Subject 684, nicknamed Jane Doe. Jane has been trapped in a government facility named Lengard for over two years, during which she has not spoken a single word. Suddenly, she is put in the care of a man named Landon Ward, someone who shows genuine interest in who Jane is. As she begins to open up, she accidentally says something. It is revealed that Jane is a “Speaker,” someone who has the ability to control the world through only her words. She discovers that she is not the only one with this power; however, she is an exceptional case in that she has no limitations. She is a “Creator,” meaning that her powers have endless potential. Lengard is actually a facility where Speakers are trained and develop their abilities for future use for the government. Jane tries to uncover the truth behind her powers, her past, and who to trust. This novel was reminiscent of books such as The Maze Runner and Divergent because of the premise: an adolescent has unique abilities/unique characteristics and is forced to use them. The beginning of Whisper was a little slow, but the plot quickly picked up after the first few chapters. Jane’s emotions are conveyed clearly and developed throughout the novel, allowing the reader to make a strong connection to the protagonist. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoyed books like Divergent, The Maze Runner, or The Hunger Games. - Dana
