The quiet townsfolk of Squawk Valley have one very big problem - there is no turkey for Thanksgiving! The only thing left would be to eat shredded wheat. So they decide to hold an arts-and-crafts fair and have a turkey as the model for their sculptures. When the plump and perky Pete shows up, they are very excited - once Pete judges the best sculpture, they are going to pop him in the oven! But Pete is too clever by far! The jaunty rhyme and colorful pictures tell the whole story with a surprise ending.
