There must be something wrong with the electronic cataloging of this item (a DVD about Renoir) since it seems meshed with, at least in the comment feature with others in the same series. The commentary by the art historians is often barely audible. This film is bit worse than some of the others in the series: there is little description of the age, of his techniques or his style. Its poorly structured, though it does retain a loose basis in chronological order. His greater respect for tradition in comparison with the other impressionists, and the use of line is emphasized in the narration, but is left unexplained just why he respected it.
