Short but powerful story about family, hope, kindness. Heartwrenching from a parental point of view, Jack wakes up alone while on a camping trip with his bi-polar mother. His mom has disappeared before, but this time Jack is far from home and people he knows. Now he has to find shelter and food while he makes his way without being 'rescued' by authorities. His hope of seeing a live elephant and sure his mother is at that place keeps Jack motivated. My kind of ending-happy, but not how you might think.
