In this book the main character is a boy named Perceus or Percy Jackson. Percy is the son of the sea god Poseidon. His mother is a mortal named Sally Jackson. This makes him a half-blood so he goes to camp for others like him. Percy is always known for his adventurous spirit and his lack of listening. Percy and his friends Thalia, daughter of Zeus, and Annabeth, daughter of Athena, find two powerful half-bloods and set off with their friend Grover, a satyr, to accompany them. But when they get to the military school where they were found, a monster named Lord Kronose's side named Dr. Thorn, attacks them. In the end, Annabeth makes a decision and pushes the monster off a cliff, and Annabeth falls with it. From then on, Percy has visions of Annabeth helping a traitor named Luke. Soon Artemis and her Hunter's come and are determined to find the terrible monster. Artemis is captured. Zoe and the new half-blood Banica di Angelo take Percy, Thalia, and Grover on the mission. Soon they find that a prophecy, the Oracle, said comes true and Banica dies in the desert. Zoe dies because of her father Atlas. Percy's perseverance pays off and he learns that life is life and you cannot stop it. I really liked this book because it brings modern technology and old Greek myths together. By: Sophia H.
