Kristan Higgins is still one of my favorite authors and I will always be anticipating the release of her next novel, but her latest ones have been falling a bit short for me. They are still good stories and writing, but they are a bit longer than is needed and parts of it are slower. The Perfect Match was indeed too long, and therefore why I thought the first half of the book was slow and didn't really connect with the love story/relationship until the second half. I wasn't overly fond of Tom to be honest, but I did enjoy Honor as a heroine. Once the couple finally were interacting more, I felt better about the story and were really rooting for them, but it took a long time (too long) to get there. I also didn't get any of those laugh out loud moments in this book, which I always anticipate with Higgins.
