I was surprised that I didn't need subtitles--they speak very clearly. Second, the cinematography is fabulous. This is worth watching for the scenery alone, but the crimes are also interesting. Prosser thinks everything is straightforward, and since he is the boss, Mathais has to fight for the clues and against Prosser, and poor Rhys is caught between them. The stories are well done and as complex and twisting as an Agatha Cristy tale. Some of the interior settings are so dark we can't see much--so while not overwhelmed with gore we don't get a clear idea of the homes.
