The story was a good satire, not heavy-handed like The Little Fockers. The acting was somehow appropriate. I liked Jason Bateman's character's considerateness to others, and how that changed as the situation around him changed. I watched this movie while reading Anne Patchett's Commonwealth, about another dysfunctional family (how many normal families ever get a book or a movie?) The siblings could all know each other.
