Aaron Sorkin and I want a renaissance of decency, and this informs my love for his TV dramas. In the finale's "Inside the Episode," he says, "We're living in a time when we're not that nice to each other. It's one thing to point at the powerful and give them a little kick in the butt. But we do that now with each other, with ordinary people. Snark is too much of a currency ... it's the idiot's version of wit. We're constantly trying to draw attention to ourselves with tweets. ... You don't need a suit of armour. You can act like a knight even if you don't have a horse." // That being said, I'm going to provide some constructive criticism :). I couldn't help but think back to another show starring Sam Waterston (Law & Order), and a friend of mine complaining that the character played by Elisabeth Rohm (the only blonde ADA, to remind you) "never" blinked (to prove the issue, you can find forums displaying .jpg's of her blinking :) ). Olivia Munn, who plays Sloan Sabbith, delivers her lines in a similar expressionless, back-of-the-throat way. And she can't quite pull off the Sorkinese: like I don't buy Sloan saying "So help me, Hannah" or even knowing what Wheatena is (i don't). Everyone else is pretty perfect, though.
