This was a good bit of fun! I've read a lot of Sherlock Holmes pastiches but have been a bit disillusioned with the gender swapping ones I've read - not so with this one! Charlotte Holmes is an a modern woman, for both her times and ours, and she wants independence and freedom and all that fun stuff that a Victorian lady can't have. She goes to great lengths to make sure she gets a certain amount of it even though her respectability suffers as a result. And, of course, it all throws suspicion on her family as rich nobles begin dropping dead. Charlotte, working under the assumed name of Sherlock, is on the case though! As much as the mystery and Holmesian elements are draw this is a fantastic story of women helping women; whether it be Charlotte's sister or the absolutely amazing Mrs. Watson. I'm pumped to have found this fun series!
