I wanted this book to be so much better than it was. I could not root for any of the main characters, they were all incredibly self-absorbed, especially Lucy. I just wanted her to snap out of it- being so focused on a relationship with a man from her past that she randomly met during 9/11 and told her how great the view was from his apartment WHILE NYC WAS BURNING all while she has this sweet husband that would whisk her off to Paris for the weekend. (The audacity!) Also, the whole book is written in a tense that is filled with such doom, you know it's not going to end well. I slogged through and still don't understand why I finished it. I guess I'm a sucker for a New York love story. This, however, is not that.
