This is a sadly mediocre, formulaic book. I remember reading Caputo's big book a couple decades ago, so I thought this would be worth it. 50-100 pages in, I was actually embarrassed (for the author and me) to be reading what is basically an adolescent-level book full of cliches and predictable politically correct junk. I just closed the cover and took it back. Such a disappointingly low caliber book. Makes me wonder if "Rumors of War" was actually all that good or if I was just immature and simplistic back then...
